Wig making

It’s been such a long time since I last posted! But nothing much has happened doll-wise, I don’t have money to order clothes and I have been focused on drawing and working out. I did give Marlene a faceup (at some point), but I never got around to make a post about it.

 Here she is.

Maybe two weeks ago I made my gf’s doll a wig! She wanted her Ringdoll K’s (“Andres”) hair to be short, or maybe kind of an undercut type deal. It was the first wig I have ever made, keeping that in mind it turned out ok. I used alpaca wool to make it and loosely followed Jointed Love’s tutorial.

All the pictures are quick snapshots with my phone camera, I haven’t felt like photographing our naked dolls much either. Andres’ faceup is also my doing and he is borrowing 14mm glass eyes with small pupils until he gets his own eyes.

Since the last picture I still gave the wig a bit of a trim and then it sat in a drawer for a few weeks, now it’s all poofy and even more lopsided.  Wig making was pretty fun and I learned a lot. Next one will surely be a bit better but at least he has something to put on his head for the time being.
